Hide&See

Hide or see, this is the principle that generated the Hide and See project.
Structurally, the installation consists of five triangular thickness totems about two meters high. The visitor will be able to appreciate the sense of the installation only when he finds himself in three precise points, gaining a perspective thanks to which the images printed on the three sides of the totems will be visible in their entirety.
We have chosen the images of the eye, heart and brain, elective organs that our
body has at its disposal to read and interpret reality.
The eye sees, the brain reads, the heart feels.
Moving in the space around the prisms, the images lose definition; the mind cannot reconstruct what the eye sees. It is the space that makes the object-product unknown or familiar depending on the position of the viewer. Moving among the totems and bringing the point of view closer, the heart, brain and eye are still indecipherable but what was simply a black and white graphic background is transformed into readable text.
By interpreting proxemics, we have designed a “journey” towards the object-product in which we deepen our knowledge of it, gradually revealing it.
The white “brush strokes” that frame the images allow a glimpse of the cardboard,
enhancing above all the printing technology which can be partially absorbed by the
cardboard fibers, giving a more natural effect until it is perfectly opaque to make the
colors more brilliant.

The chosen material of 3A Composites is 100% recyclable cardboard through the process five-dot-mission, HP Latex printing technology is water-based therefore a low environmental impact and the totems are assembled and printed by UP&GO.
